I decided to pursue graduate school because I am fascinated by what mathematics is like, what interesting questions can be found there, and the ways to answer such questions. Moreover, by doing research and interacting with others, I get to deepen my appreciation for this subject even more.
I decided to study at UBC because my supervisor, Stephanie van Willigenburg, and I shared many of the same interests in algebraic combinatorics and related fields. Furthermore, such research interests offer a link between combinatorics and structures I studied during my masters'.
The program I am in offers an opportunity for me to study algebraic combinatorics and related fields in one of the largest universities in Canada.

I am researching on enumeration problems for generalizations of shifted Young tableaux and their variants. Moreover, I am investigating on how properties of such tableaux relate to the symmetric group, the Bruhat order (and its variants) on such a group, and Quasi-symmetric functions.
