In today's world of work, having a professional LinkedIn profile can be a strong asset for job searching and networking. This session will provide suggestions and guidelines for digital networking and using LinkedIn as a career development tool. It will cover the following questions:
- Why use LinkedIn?
- How to create a strong profile?
- How to use LinkedIn strategically
- How to use LinkedIn to develop new, engaging connections
There will be opportunities for Q & A.

Facilitator
Rebecca Dirnfeld, MA, is a Career Educator who works with the UBC Career Centre to support graduate students at UBC. She has a Career and Work Counselling Diploma from George Brown College. Her past experience includes leading the graduate student career education portfolio for graduate studies and managing the MBA careers team at Toronto Metropolitan University, and in providing career advising to business students as a team member of SFU’s Beedie Career Management Centre. Rebecca is also a part-time graduate student in UBC’s EDST MA program.

General registration opens on Monday, November 18th at 9 am.
Priority will be given to UBC graduate students registered in the current academic session. Pre-work is required
