Faculty advice — Funding for research focused programs
This month we sit down with Dr. Julian Dierkes who is Senior Associate Dean in UBC's Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies to hear about how funding works for research focused programs at UBC.
Dr. Dierkes covers a number of topics such as: Why universities/governments offer funding to graduate students; types of funding support available to Master's and PhD students who are conducting research; and UBC's Minimum Funding Guarantee for PhD students.
